When we hear the word “charity,” the first thing that often comes to mind is a financial donation.

But helping can mean much more.

Moldova has a 2% mechanism

There is another way to support organizations working for the public benefit — Moldova's percentage designation mechanism.

Individuals who meet the legal requirements can allocate 2% of their calculated annual income tax to one organization included in the official list of eligible beneficiaries.

This is not an additional payment on top of the tax due. Instead, part of the already calculated income tax is directed to the selected organization.

The current list of eligible organizations is published annually by the Public Services Agency of the Republic of Moldova.

What can you support on OM2OM?

Projects can cover many different areas.
